Luma's 2017 Christmas ad snapshot

The year has seemingly flown by and 2018 is in sight!

As we head into the pointy end of the festive season, we thought we'd take a look at the many ads that are released around this time of the year.

Cute characters, emotive storytelling and an injection of humour feature in this years Luma short-list!

Watch the ads below…

Swiss supermarket Migros has pulled at our heartstrings with their adorable character ‘Finn’ this Christmas. Beep!

Also going for the emotional angle, NRMA Insurance has utilised relatable casting and emotive music to bring us a beautiful family story.

Although Christmas advertising tends to be dominated by emotional, feel-good messages, these next two ads are leaving us feeling good in a different way – through their use of comedy. Air New Zealand has poked a bit of fun at themselves in their charming Santa’s workshop ad. Who doesn’t love the idea of a ‘puggy bank’?

From the US, Duracell brings us a very 2017 idea of Christmas chaos, with a warning to Santa (and those Santa’s at home) not to forget the batteries with their presents this year.

Closer to home, Myer’s full-length Christmas offering is a blend of cute, humour, and a whole lot of local comedian voice appearances!
